Enjoy this delightful video of the Abrams Creek Wetlands, just around the corner from Willow Lawn!
The 25-acre Abrams Creek Wetlands Preserve is a calcareous muck fen and home to over 300 plant species and 180 kinds of birds. Twenty of the Preserve’s plant species appear on Virginia’s Rare Plants List, including two species found nowhere else in the Commonwealth. In addition, no other limestone-floored wetland in Virginia has as many rare plants as Winchester’s wetlands.

Seniors First, The Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging is a non-profit organization providing high-quality services and opportunities to enhance the dignity and independence of seniors and promote their contributions to the community.

Our services enable older adults to remain living in their own home for as long as safely possible, rather than go into a nursing facility. Seniors First serves the Counties of Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, Warren, and the City of Winchester.

Winchester Alerts” is available here, see the bottom of the page for initial sign-up. The system allows for either phone messages, text messages, or both.
